Curry Sets Sights on PGA Tour Champions After NBA Career
Stephen Curry has set an ambitious goal for his post-basketball life.
In a recent interview with Golf Digest’s Max Adler, the Golden State Warriors star revealed his aspiration to compete in the PGA Tour Champions, the senior golf circuit for players aged 50 and over.
“I don’t know what the path is,” Curry shared. “All I know is, when I’m done with basketball, I’m going to reasonably invest as much into my golf as I can to see how good I can get, and where that puts me 14 years from now, we’ll see.”
Curry, who started playing golf at the age of 10, has participated in numerous celebrity tournaments, including The Match series. His golf achievements include winning the 2023 American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Resort in Nevada, making him the first active athlete to win the title since 2000.
Currently 36 years old, Curry has just completed his 15th NBA season. He is also set to make his Olympic debut with USA Basketball this summer at the 2024 Paris Games.
